This page will allow you to complete contact information, sign up to coach, and submit your credentials.

Please read each page carefully to ensure that all information is provided accurately. Have a PDF copy of your credentials available to upload when prompted.

Season: May 19 - August 14, 2025

Becoming a head coach or assistant coach is simple:

• Fill out this coach application form.
• If prompted by the club, complete a police records check.
• New coaches: attend the coaching 101 session (Wednesday, May 14, 2025)

We offer an 'Above and Beyond' coach incentive to head coaches who have children registered with us and fulfill the following 5-step process to become certified: 

1. Complete the online Respect in Sport course (for Activity Leaders) [2.5 hours]. Save your certificate and receipt. 
2. Complete the online theory component of the Canada Soccer course for the age group(s) for which you are the head coach [45 minutes + 45 minute Coaching Soccer in Canada course]. Save your certificates and receipts.
   • FUNdamentals (b. 2017-2018) --- $21.00 (refunded at the end of the season) 
   • Learn to Train (b. 2014-2016) --- $31.50 (refunded at the end of the season) 
   • Soccer for Life (b. 2007-2013) --- $31.50 (refunded at the end of the season) 
3. Complete the in-class practical component of the Canada Soccer course for the age group(s) for which you are the head coach. 
   • FUNdamentals (b. 2017-2018) --- $120 (refundable)  
     • Saturday, June 7, 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. 
   • Learn to Train (b. 2014-2016)  --- $250 (refundable)  
     • Sunday, June 8, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
   • Soccer for Life (b. 2007-2013)  --- $250 (refundable) 
     • Saturday, June 14, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
4. Complete an Ottawa Police Records Check -  Level 3 for the Vulnerable Sector.
5. Upload copies of ALL your certificates to this application form by July 7.

Important Notes:

• To recoup the cost of the training taken this year, email the Dragons Office a copy of the receipt(s) you obtained for certification.
• If the last Police Records Check you completed was 2021 or earlier, email the Dragons Office with your name and the division you are looking to coach and request a Letter for a Police Records Check, we will look to get you one in a timely manner.
• Head Coaches who complete the above requirements by the July 7 deadline will receive their coach incentive at the Coach Appreciation Night at the end of the season.
